Shopping, Browsing, and more Shopping

I had a few gift cards to spend at Victoria's Secret from my aunt and friends. The best sale that Victoria's Secret has in my opinion is the late December sale. The sale includes almost all old styles. I called and ended up getting a shimmer glitter thing and some pajamas, tshirts, and sweatpants. I put that money to good use and I still had some left over for Spring.

After that I went to CVS pharmacy with my godmother. They were all cleared out and the shelves were pretty bare. The best deal was the two littrees and moving reindeer that were 1/2 off at 19.99 originally but with the discount they were 9.99. Other than that everything was not such a great markdown.

Later I went to Burlington Coat Factory. They had a great sale on coats but I already had two for the season. Shoes have come way down in price from last year and I was surprised at what a great deal everything was. I went into DSW where some shoes were 80 % off. Some shoes were still $80.00 which is pretty pricey unless the shoes are Uggs. I then went into Best Buy and fell in love with the Apple Macbook Pro. It is a wonderful computer. Right now I have a Dell Inspiron E1405 which is about 8 months old but maybe in 2 years I would like to own a Macbook Pro.

I used my new chocolatiere tonight. I use to have a chocolate melter that ran on tealight candles. It use to always burn the chocolate before I could use it and made the chocolate very lumpy. This made the chocolate thin and it did not burn one bit. The machine also came with molds which I made a few chocolate hearts with.

Tomorrow, I plan on going to Walmart which is my absolute second favorite store. I will post the items I got when I get home.

Review of iPod touch

I just received the iPod touch for Christmas which was a few days ago. It was a total and complete surprise for me. I could not believe that I was actually receiving the gadget that I had wanted for a few months.

I am in total and complete awe with this iPod. I already had the 1st generation shuffle and the iPod video. The whole reason why I wanted the iPod touch was because of it's amazing screen and high resolution and because of it's wifi capability. I was paying $1 a day for internet access on my Sidekick iD. The internet almost never worked on it and when it did it was as slow as dial up internet access.

When I received my iPod touch I first had to download the newest edition of iTunes. The iPod touch only runs with the latest version of iTunes. After I did a quick charge I starting to play with it and explore all of it's features. I love the cover flow option. It is available on all of the new iPods that came out in September. Another feature that I love is the Youtube option to watch videos which is really a treat since the great screen that it has. The iPod touch also turns the screen when you physically turn the iPod. The battery life on it is a little low and after constant use for about 2 and a half hours it needs a charge.

Overall, the iPod touch is a great product which I would recommend to anyone. It is worth every penny.

American Girl dolls

Even though I am getting older I still collect American Girl dolls and their accessories. This hobby has gotten quite expensive in the past few years. For those people who do not know what American Girl Dolls are they are a high quality doll company that was created in 1986 by Pleasant T. Rowland. The company was later sold to Mattel in about 1998. All dolls that were made before then are called Pre-Mattel. The website for American Girl is americangirl.com

Every year, since 2001 the company creates a Limited Edition doll. The first doll was Lindsey, followed by Kailey, Marisol, Jess, Nicki, and now Mia will be coming out on January 1st (I will be at the store on that day.) I have all of the limited edition dolls except for Lindsey. I started collecting American Girl dolls in February 2004. The first time I went to AGPNY, I got Kailey which was the Limited Edition doll for that year. My collection has since grown to 25 dolls.

I am part of an American Girl Message board. It is a place where collectors of all ages can enjoy their collection of dolls together. It is a wonderful place. The link for it is agfansboard.proboards56.com. My username is Kaileyfan1.

My family is becoming less and less supportive of my collection as I am getting older. They see it as a childish hobby. I do not think I will ever stop collecting American Girl dolls. My collection will just keep growing and one day I will pass my collection of dolls to my children.

Rainy Christmas Break Days

These past few days have been very boring. Besides Christmas, this break is pretty unexciting. Yesterday, I woke up around 11:00. Woke up and decided that it would be a good idea to go and return the white American Eagle sweatshirt that I received as a Christmas gift from my aunt. It would have been wonderful except it was 2 sizes to small. The sweatshirt did fit, but it was tight. In the area, where I live that is totally acceptable but I do not like my stomach to show. I am in good shape, but that is pretty distasteful for me. Went right to American Eagle with the sweatshirt and receipt that my aunt gave me for it in hand. Go into the store and their was some peppy hyper girl at the front door asking what I needed. I told her I needed the same sweatshirt that I was holding in a larger size. She gives me the sweatshirt and I went straight up to the cash register and explained my problem. The cashier checked the sweatshirt out to make sure it was new and had the tags attatched. He then gave me the new sweatshirt and I left.

Later, I went to Target where I got a few Christmas trees and decorations for next year. They were all half off so I figured I might as well buy them. I could not believe how many people go nuts over wrapping paper sales. One lady that was in Target had atleast 20 rolls of wrapping paper in her cart. I understand that it is a great deal and all but where are you gonna store 20+ rolls of wrapping paper until next year.

Today, I woke up around 8:30. Jumped into the shower and took a nice hot shower. Came out and it was freezing. I put on a pair of sweatpants, tshirt, and hoodie. I went on the computer and used my iPod Touch for a while and decided to actually get outside and do something. I went to a local Italian restaurant and took a chicken parmigiana hero to go. It was pretty tasty. Later, I walked around in the rain for a while. I went into a fruit market. I was hoping that they would have some ripe strawberries since for Christmas I received a fondue maker. Outta luck, because they had all rotten strawberries. So, I picked out a bunch of bananas.

Right now, I am watching Dr. 90210. Then, in a few minutes I am going to go and help my godmother with some wash. If I am not to busy later I will post a few things about my American Girl collection.
